Fujitec recently held vertical-transportation (VT) safety training for children at Big Wing, Fujitec headquarters (HQ) in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, and local elementary schools. At Big Wing, Fujitec employees led students on a tour of the facilities and showed an educational video, followed by a quiz about the safe use of VT. In addition, employees at Fujitec Tokyo HQ educate approximately 130 students each year on the safe use of VT at the Minato Ward elementary school. For students who live in high-rise buildings, being aware of their surroundings in and around elevators is included to reduce chances of their becoming victims of crime. Outside of Japan, Fujitec India conducted training at schools and shopping malls that helped educate roughly 2,000 people, and Fujitec China representatives visited elementary schools to share VT safety knowledge.
