Fujitec Roundtable Focuses on Childcare Leave for Men

Fujitec, headquartered in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, held an internal roundtable on December 17, 2025, with male employees who have taken childcare leave. Following the success of a roundtable held in January 2025 featuring female employees, the second installment aimed to deepen understanding of childcare leave for men across the entire organization. During the roundtable, four male employees who had previously taken childcare leave talked about the “joys and challenges they faced and how their perspectives on work evolved after returning to their respective departments.” The event was part of Fujitec’s “Childcare, Women and Diversity” efforts. As of March 2025, Fujitec’s childcare leave acceptance rate among men had reached 38%. “The high attendance at this event reflects the strong interest in this topic among our workforce,” Fujitec stated.
