Fujitec Singapore Corp. Ltd. received an order from the Singapore Housing & Development Board (HBD) for approximately 300 elevators, bringing the total the subsidiary has delivered to the HDB to more than 20,000 units, the subsidiary announced in November. Including high-speed elevators, the order is for the HDB’s 33rd Term Housing project that includes residential buildings (including those taller than 30 stories) across the country. The source observed that more than 80% of Singapore residents live in HDB apartments and that, in recent years, Fujitec Singapore has been actively involved in the government’s Lift Enhancement Programme to provide additional safety features such as double-brake systems to existing elevators. Fujitec Singapore said it will continue to contribute to the country’s urban development, in turn supporting its global business expansion plan Vision24.
