Hitachi Elevator (China) Hosts VT Safety Events for Children

To recognize Public Health Safety and Education Day for Primary and Secondary School Students on March 29, Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd., held 25 vertical-transportation (VT) educational events in nine cities across China. Led by Hitachi Elevator volunteers, junior safety officers shared information with classmates about the safe use of elevators and escalators, as well as the basics of their operation. Hitachi Elevator China, which has published two books for children — A Magical Elevator Tour, which promotes safety, and Little Elevator Master Training Manual, which provides facts about their operation — said it “continues to work with stakeholders to explore new models and ideas that will serve the public interest” in terms of VT best practices.
