India's CMRL Accepts Two Bids for Escalator-Enabling Work

Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL) in India has received and accepted two bids for construction of entry/exist structures that will enable additional escalators to be built along Corridor 5, Phase 2 of the Chennai Metro Rail project, outlets including Metro Rail News report. Stretching 47 km with 45 stations, including 39 at grade level or elevated, between Madharavaram and Sholinganuallur, Corridor 5 is also known as the Red Line and is among CMRL Phase 2 projects slated for completion by the end of 2028. The winning bidders for the entry/exit structures are Saraswathi Engineering Construction Ltd. and Priya Engineering Projects Pvt. Ltd. Work will include civil, architectural and finishing work for the elevated stations along Corridor 5.
