IUEC Local 3 in St. Louis Welcomes New Office and Training Center

International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) Local 3 members, along with international union representatives and local officials, welcomed their new offices and training center at 1525 South Broadway in St. Louis with a ribbon-cutting on July 9, the Labor Tribune reports. The first building housing both the union hall and a 10,000-ft² training space in Local 3's 128-year history marks "an exciting milestone in the history of Local 3," Local 3 Business Manager Matt Fernandez said. The training facility boasts state-of-the-art equipment that allows the National Elevator Industry Educational Program to train apprentices and keep journeymen current on continuing education as technology rapidly advances. IUEC Local 3 formerly occupied space in the Glaziers Local 513 building.
