Fujitec, headquartered in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, announced on April 7 it has been recognized for the first time with a two-star Eruboshi Certification from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for promoting women’s participation and advancement in the workplace. Companies receiving certification are evaluated on five criteria: recruitment, continuous employment, working hours and styles, ratio of women in management positions and career path diversity. Fujitec met three of these standards — working hours and styles, working hours and career path diversity — resulting in the two-star designation. “Moving forward, the company remains committed to creating an environment where the opinions of all employees are respected regardless of gender, nationality, age or disability,” Fujitec stated. “By fostering a workplace where every individual can work autonomously, we continue to embody the brand vision, ‘Moving freely, elevating lives.’”
