KONE celebrated the opening of its first branch in Tunisia earlier this month. The branch came about through the acquisition of the elevator business of Sotualem Ascenseurs SA, based in the northern suburbs of Tunisian capital Tunis. Leaders and employees of the new branch gathered for iftar, the traditional Ramadan post-sunset meal, as they toasted “continued success and growth.” KONE said growth and expansion in the region will enable it to support Tunisia’s growing construction market, “assist in smooth people flow and reach our customers directly.”
