LCD and Suppliers Provide Elevator for Bronx Residential Building
Richie Clark, owner of Mineola, New York-based LCD Elevator Repair, Inc., tells ELEVATOR WORLD LCD and its suppliers provided an elevator system for 2183 Morris Avenue, a new nine-story residential building designed by Badaly Architects and developed by Arben Mitag of Euro Tech Developers in Tremont, the Bronx, NY. The 3500-lb capacity unit makes 10 stops and has 84 ft of travel. Amerivator Systems Corp. of Clifton, New Jersey, provided the engineering layout drawings and phase one equipment, including rails, rail brackets, sling, platform and counterweight rack. Hollister-Whitney supplied the overhead machine, rope gripper and governor. The Peelle Co. provided the passenger door frames and doors. Monitor Elevator Products provided the car and hall stations, GAL provided the door equipment and USC Elevator Interiors, Inc., of Brooklyn provided the cab. The housing lottery for the property launched earlier this month, New York YIMBY reported.
