LESA June Meeting To Feature Annual Code Night

The Lift Engineering Society of Australia (LESA) is hosting a General Meeting and LESA’s annual Code Night on June 24 at Norths Club, Abbott St Cammeray in Australia and on Zoom. The Code Night portion will be presented by LESA Codes Officer Noel Smith. According to LESA President Scott Hampson in a recent newsletter, “Code Night remains one of our most important forums for bringing the industry together to discuss standards, interpretation, compliance and practical application.” LESA is expecting the topic of the global transition toward EN ISO 8100 and what it may mean for the local industry to generate strong interest. The standard has not been adopted by Australia but is influencing manufacturers, multinational clients and projects with global interfaces. “Code Night provides an ideal opportunity for LESA members to consider how these emerging global benchmarks sit alongside Australian requirements and how we can remain informed, practical and aligned with best practice,” Hampson continued.
