Luxury Apartments Planned At Torch Tower In Tokyo

High-quality luxury rental apartments are set for Torch Tower, a supertall building planned for Tokyo, Japan Property Central reports. The 390-m-tall skyscraper, on the north side of Tokyo Station, will offer approximately 50 residential units with monthly rent starting at about JPY1 million (US$8,650) and topping out around JPY5 million (US$43,200). The largest apartment will be in the 400-m2(4,300-ft2) range. The plan is praised because the tower is set for development in a site that has been almost entirely dedicated to commercial buildings but with almost zero residential offerings. Construction on Torch Tower, led by Mitsubishi Estate on a 3.1-ha. site, is expected to start in 2023, with completion in 2027.
