Approximately 20 members of the Massachusetts Elevator Safety Association (MESA) gathered at Jake n Joes Sports Grille in Norwood, Massachusetts, on October 11, 2022, for a meeting. National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII) Executive Director Amy Blankenbiller was the guest speaker. She provided an overview of what NEII does and stands for, and discussed current code concerns such as fire emergency operations phase II — a major issue in Massachusetts. After the presentation was lunch and a business meeting, during which future events were discussed, including MESA’s Holiday Evening Celebration, which is planned on December 13 at the Hilton Boston-Dedham in Dedham, Massachusetts. — reported by EW Correspondent Matthew Jackson
