Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. (MEUS), headquartered in Cypress, California, has expanded in the Boston area and moved its local offices to Woburn, Massachusetts, to support new projects with WS Development in the Seaport neighborhood. MEUS was recently selected by the retail-development company to install elevators at its latest Boston Seaport project at 400 Summer Street. The 625,000-ftbuilding will be home to Foundation Medicine, which will occupy 580,000 ft2 of office and lab space. Currently under construction, the building will also offer 30,000 ft2 of retail space. It is scheduled for completion in 2023. “We hope this collaboration is the first of many,” MEUS Eastern Region Director Mike Eden said. “We worked closely with the team to see how Mitsubishi Electric could deliver the best product suited for their requirements.”
