Otis recently highlighted how it is facilitating mobility in the New Bund Area in Pudong, Shanghai’s second CBD, with more than 230 elevators and escalators, including 50 in the New Bund Center, the district’s tallest building at 270 m. Opened in 2021, the LEED®-certified skyscraper is a showcase for Otis’ latest mobility technology, including 37 SkyRise® high-rise elevators; the Otis ONETM IoT real-time monitoring platform; the Compass® destination-dispatch system; and more than 10 service robots integrated into the elevator system, allowing them to travel between floors for contactless delivery. Elsewhere in the 1.3 million-m2 New Bund Area, an additional 180 Otis elevators and escalators move passengers at the transit hub and several other office buildings, including the New Bund World Trade Center. The OEM’s China regional office is also located in New Bund.
