The Korea Elevator Safety Authority (KoELSA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and a designated inspection agency to jointly promote elevator safety, Maeil Business Newspaper reports. This agreement was signed to solidify a public-private partnership system to prevent elevator accidents and spread safety culture. The key is to share the roles of each institution and promote a systematic public relations strategy. The strategy is to use TVs inside elevators so that elevator users can naturally access safety rules in their daily lives. In addition, the KoELSA recently held the “2025 Elevator Safety Contest” with the aim of preventing elevator accidents and spreading the culture of correct use.
