NEII Recognizes Building and Code Staff Appreciation Day

National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII) was among those to recognize the “detail-oriented people who take charge of maintaining building and code standards” on Building Code Staff Appreciation Day on September 1. The vertical-transportation industry has many active participants who make valuable contributions through their expertise in safety codes, NEII stated. “The members of NEII’s Central Code Committee devote themselves to ensuring the safety of riders and employees alike, with their eyes constantly on the development, implementation and enforcement of building safety code,” the organization observed. “We appreciate the individuals who help keep elevators and escalators the safest form of public transportation every day.”
