Concept Elevator, based in Miami, Florida, recently announced that Bill Swenson has been promoted to president. The promotion coincides with the company's recent acquisition by an individual investor. Now in its 23rd year, Concept Elevator manufactures both standard and custom elevator cabs, entrances and components. With more than 40 years' elevator industry experience, Swenson began his career at U.S. Elevator in 1984 and was a longtime sales leader at Otis, starting in 1996. He joined Concept Elevator in 2009 as vice president of sales and marketing. Swenson earned his bachelor's degree in management from Southwest Missouri State University and a master's degree in management from Purdue University's Daniels School of Business. As company leader, Swenson aims to sustain Concept Elevator's reputation for bold design, precision and quality manufacturing.
