Noble Elevator Installs Six Units at New Brooklyn Residential Tower

Noble Elevator Co., Inc., headquartered in Bohemia on Long Island, New York, tells ELEVATOR WORLD it installed six units at The Bellslip Greenpoint Landing at 1 Bellslip in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Developed by Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group and designed by Handel Architects, the 31-story structure is part of the 10-tower Greenpoint Landing riverfront development and offers 413 residences. General contractor Consigli began work in September 2020, and Noble provided two overhead gearless traction elevators traveling at 700 ft/min with 29 stops, one gearless traction elevator traveling at 700 ft/min with 30 stops, one cornerpost overhead gearless traction elevator with 33 stops and two 8000-lb capacity hydraulic auto lifts with two stops. Noble Vice President Thomas Dutton said suppliers included Hollister-Whitney, which provided GL185-35L machines for the traction elevators and a GL260-H machine for the cornerpost unit. HW also provided its 622 Rope Grippers®. For the hall and cars, Noble used Monitor fixtures equipped with MCE touchless sensor buttons. Cars were equipped with Elite Touch® touchscreen panels from C.E. Electronics, Inc. Entrances on the first, second and third floors were outfitted with 3-ft-high transoms from Columbia Elevator Products.
