Otis Accessibility Executive Among Speakers at CVU Conference

The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) recently announced initial speakers for the CVU 2026 Americas Conference, planned for March 25-27 in Austin, Texas, and Otis Director of Global Disability Accommodations & Accessibility Christy Vanek is on the list. Vanek’s “Accessibility and Technology for the Visually Impaired in High Rises” is set for March 25 at 3:45 p.m. CST. Known for her expertise in built environment accessibility and emphasis on seeking direct input from the disability community, Vanek is partially blind and brings a lifetime of personal disability experience to bear alongside her professional expertise. She will join fellow speakers including Kohn Pedersen Fox President and Design Principal James von Klemperer, City of Miami Planning Director David Snow, JPMorgan Chase & Co. Managing Director James Shea and many more to address topics including “New Paradigms of Attainability and Accessibility.”
