Otis Awarded EcoVadis Gold Medal for Sustainability

Otis Worldwide Corp. announced on December 9 it has been awarded a Gold Medal by the EcoVadis global sustainability rating platform. This the third straight assessment in which Otis achieved the Gold rating — ranking in the top 5% of the more than 130,000 companies assessed by the platform. The EcoVadis rating system uses 21 criteria to measure companies’ efforts across four areas of corporate social responsibility and sustainability: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Otis Vice President of Environmental, Social and Governance Caroline Coursant said the designation “demonstrates that we continue to pursue and execute on sustainable strategies that drive value for our key stakeholders.” Other recent recognitions for the global elevator and escalator OEM include being named among America’s Greenest Companies, the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies, World’s Best Employers, America’s Most Responsible Companies and World’s Most Admired Companies.
