Otis Brazil announced on November 28 it received the Paulista Diversity Seal from the São Paulo State Government for its diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. Created in 2007 by the state government’s Secretariat of Economic Development, the seal aims to disseminate inclusive practices of companies and institutions to encourage gradual changes in mindset and actions that promote diversity. Otis Brazil’s DE&I success stories include its Rota Escola Internship Program that promotes careers in field operations. Since 2019, women have represented approximately half of program participants. In addition, the company’s employee resource groups in Latin America have seen a tenfold increase in colleague engagement in internal programming over the past three years.
