Otis Provides Two Units, IoT to Brooklyn Senior Housing

Otis told ELEVATOR WORLD it supplied two Gen3™ Edge elevators with Otis ONE Pro Internet of Things (IoT) for Linden Grove, a new 100% affordable senior housing development at 223 Linden Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. New York YIMBY reports the 13-story building spans about 100,000 ft² and was constructed using modular methods. The development also stands out for its sustainability profile, with Passive House, LEED Platinum, Fitwel, Energy Star, Zero Energy Ready Home and National Green Building Standard certifications, which the source says make it the tallest affordable residential modular Passive House building in the country. The building yields 153 studio and one-bedroom apartments for qualifying seniors, including 46 units set aside for formerly homeless older adults.
