Otis tells ELEVATOR WORLD it is providing the vertical-transportation (VT) system for a 50-plus story residential tower with ground-level retail at 499 Summit Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey. The system includes five Otis SkyRise® elevators and the Compass® 360 destination-dispatch system. Taking shape on land owned by Panepinto Properties in the quickly developing area surrounding the Journal Square PATH station, the development includes a five-story base, more than 300 bicycle parking spaces in the cellar and a valet parking facility with vehicle lifts for up to 140 cars, New Jersey Digs previously reported. Amenities include a wraparound terrace on the top floor, an indoor communal kitchen and a coworking lounge. Also taking shape is a 3,200-ft2 landscaped public plaza.
