Plans for Glasgow Hotel Submitted
Glasgow, Scotland-based Stallan-Brand has put forward a proposal for a 142-bed hotel near Glasgow’s River Clyde, Architects’ Journal reports. The proposals feature a 13-story building alongside co-working space, two restaurants, two bars, a gym and a roof terrace. Cultural uses are designated for the ground, first and second floors, which will be open to members of the public. Officials say the scheme aligns with the Glasgow Riverside Innovation District (GRID) initative to develop both sides of the city’s Clyde waterfront. Paul Stallan, design director at Stallan-Brand, said the planned “hotel for music lovers” would contribute to the nearby Scottish Events Campus, which includes the Hydro and Armadillo, as well as SWG3.
