Railway Stations in India to Receive VT Upgrades

Under the Amrit Bharat scheme, a plan to modernize railway stations across India, 15 stations in the Ferozepur rail division will be outfitted with vertical-transportation (VT) equipment including escalators, babushahi reports. According to Divisional Railway Manager Seema Sharma, the modernizations will provide convenience, as well as accessibility, for passengers. Work has already begun on several railway stations, where each platform will have lift and escalator access. Sharma advises passengers to follow all guidelines and instructions when using the VT equipment to allow for uninterrupted service.
