Schindler Spotlights U.S. Sales Manager for International Women in Engineering Day

Schindler spotlighted third-generation vertical-transportation (VT) professional Amanda Yarger to mark International Women in Engineering Day on June 23. Yarger is an account manager for Northern California and Nevada, dealing with repair and maintenance. Her role includes providing technical solutions, ensuring workplace safety, supervising technicians and jobsite activity while supporting service, maintenance and repair sales. Yarger's grandfather worked as a lift technician in the 1950s, and her parents met while working for Schindler, so she grew up around VT. After earning a communications degree, Yarger initially worked in public relations, which provided her with valuable client communication skills. Over more than four years in the VT industry, Yarger has gained a comprehensive understanding of all types of VT, regardless of age or brand. "Stories like Amanda Yarger's highlight the evolving face of engineering, where diverse career paths and supportive, inclusive environments are opening doors for more women to thrive," Schindler observed.
