Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) announced on March 31 that Autograph Tower, the first supertall in Jakarta, Indonesia, topped out at 383 m. Served by a Schindler vertical-transportation (VT) system (ELENET 617), Autograph anchors the Thamrin Nine mixed-use development and is linked via a retail podium with the 300-m-tall Luminary Tower, also designed by KPF. “Layered like vertical cities,” the towers include office, hotel, cultural, hospitality, academic, athletic and public space. They also feature four illuminated, cantilevering observation decks that showcase city landmarks. Their crowns include public observation decks with restaurants, and Autograph boasts an open-air skywalk for thrill seekers who will be tethered to the building as they check out the city from 250 m up.
