The contract also includes associated repair work and upgrades at those stations. Involving one or several elevator subcontractors, Skanska’s work includes the replacement of one escalator each at the Lexington Avenue/59th Street, South Ferry/Whitehall Street and 145 Street stations; four escalators each at the 5th Avenue/53rd Street and 59th Street stations; and six escalators at the Smith/9th Street Station.
