Sigma Elevator Co., with global headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, announced on March 6 the launch of the ACRATM 2.0 and Solon® 2.0 elevators for low- to mid-rise buildings. ACRA 2.0 features compact machine room configuration, enhancing installation efficiency and releasing space for building developers and owners to lease or use in different ways. The Solon 2.0 offers an efficient drive for energy savings, upgraded safety features and outstanding ride comfort. It requires only a hoistway, as it features a compact permanent magnet synchronous motor gearless traction machine and controller that fits inside it. This eliminates the need for a machine room to house the elevator components at the top of a building, meaning rooftop space can be more creatively used. Additionally, an improved air ventilation system exchanges air more than 50 times per hour, offering a cleaner and healthier environment for passengers. At the launch event, Global Head of Sigma Nicolas Lopez said the two new elevators promise to “enhance the evolving urban infrastructure in Malaysia by delivering compact and reliable solutions for residential and commercial users.”
