The POTS Box To Replace Aging Copper Phone Lines

The POTS Box, a future-ready POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) line replacement solution, officially launches this month. The POTS Box offers a scalable, flexible alternative for industries that rely on analog systems, including fire alarms, elevator phones, fax lines, ATMs and more. The new POTS solution will keep critical communication systems online by using a plug-and-play solution that works across LTE, Ethernet or fiber networks. The Federal Communications Commission’s Order 19-72A1, released on August 2, 2019, mandated that all traditional copper POTS lines be replaced by alternative technologies by August 2, 2022. These lines are still in operation, but some carriers have already begun phasing out support. The POTS Box’s durable solution ensures compliance and continuity for essential systems.
