TK Elevator (TKE) recently celebrated delivery of 160 units, including 126 escalators and 34 elevators, serving Xian Metro Line 14 in China. The units serve the latest addition to the subway network in Xian, the third most populous city in western China. TKE Asia Pacific Communications Manager Benjamin Tang told ELEVATOR WORLD the opening of the metro in June “marked another milestone for TKE on its impressive China railway and metro project portfolio.” Xian Metro Line 14 was a key supporting infrastructure for the 14th National Games of China, held in various locations in Shaanxi Province in September. The delivery of the units brings the total number of units TKE supplies and maintains for the Xian Metro to 488. “By supplying and installing a large number of units in time for the opening of the line, TKE demonstrated to the customer and the public its capabilities to deliver world-class projects under a tight timeline,” Tang said.
