TKE Extends Partnership, Launches Education4future

TK Elevator (TKE) signed a new, three-year contract with SOS Children’s Villages and renamed its associated youth job-training initiative Education4Future, the OEM announced. Beginning as SEED (Support, Educate, Elevate, Develop) in 2017, Education4Future is a partnership with SOS that supports young people who lack opportunities to gain job skills to prepare for independence. Through the mentorship of approximately 200 TKE volunteers, roughly 600 youth have been trained. The Education4Future program is offered in Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, India and Thailand. TKE plans to expand in regions with high youth unemployment rates. Data from SOS shows that more than 68 million young people are looking for a job, approximately 270 million lack education and training and more than 123 million are working while living in poverty.
