TK Elevator (TKE) Italy provided two new, custom elevators for a new footbridge at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome in Imola, Italy. They will be unveiled to the public on June 13, the start of the 1000 Miglia auto race, which will see antique cars driving the historic Imola Formula 1 circuit. The circuit returned as a Formula 1 host in 2020 and celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. Able to transport up to 52 passengers per trip at 1 m/s, the elevators feature walls of “Ferrari red” glass and limited-edition “TKE for Imola” control panels. TKE tells ELEVATOR WORLD the units were designed and engineered by TKE Italy’s technical department, with doors by Wittur and other mechanical parts by TEKNO SMS s.r.l. of Italy. The new elevators are among ongoing improvements at the Autodrome. “Our contribution in terms of innovative vertical mobility solutions provides ever-greater accessibility at major sporting events,” TKE Italy General Manager Omar Riva stated.
