Two Government Buildings in Canada to Get Elevator Upgrades
The provincial government is investing in elevator modernization projects at two government-owned buildings, including the Court of King’s Bench in Battleford in Saskatchewan, Canada, WestCentralOnline reports. Work will include upgrades to the existing elevator system, including new interior finishes along with updated mechanical and electrical components. The improvements are aimed at boosting safety, reliability, energy efficiency and performance, and officials note that the upgrades will also bring the system in line with current codes while reducing maintenance costs by replacing outdated equipment. Work at the courthouse is expected to begin in September 2025. Similar work has already started at the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. building in Regina. Both projects are scheduled for completion by the winter of 2026.
