UKTram Adds Lifts and Escalators Best Practice Guidance Document

UKTram, the trade body for the light rail sector across the British Isles representing tramways, metros and other guided transit systems in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man, recently added two new Best Practice Guidance documents: Embedded Track Renewal and Lifts and Escalators — Procurement for Reliability and Maintenance. The Lifts and Escalators document focus on reliability, asset management and procurement. It offers practical advice to help operators plan, maintain and modernize lifts and escalators more effectively. Topics include maintenance strategies, life-cycle planning, procurement and lessons learned from infrastructure projects.
