VDA Expands Into U.K. With Acquisition

VDA, a leading North American vertical-transportation (VT) consultancy based in East Hanover, New Jersey, on June 23 announced its expansion into the U.K. with the acquisition of D2E International VT Consultants Ltd. With a 40-person team headquartered in London and a strong reputation across the U.K. and Europe, D2E specializes in VT, façade access and working-at-height solutions. The D2E team boasts decades of industry experience serving developers, property owners, managing agents and specialist consultants to provide innovative engineering solutions across a broad portfolio, including high-profile projects. With the addition of D2E, VDA has an on-the-ground presence in Europe, which promises to enhance service delivery, efficiency and expertise for projects abroad. Additionally, the acquisition gives Europe-based clients more access to their U.S.-based projects. D2E will retain its name and leadership structure, with founder Bill Evans remaining involved as a strategic consultant and Mark Fairweather continuing as managing director.
