Woman Killed When Home Elevator Falls Onto Her

A woman in Wichita County, Texas, was killed on June 12 when a residential elevator fell on top of her, Texomas reported. Authorities said a family member found the woman underneath the elevator and summoned a neighbor, who brought a floor jack to raise the elevator. First responders arrived about 7:30 p.m. and attempted life-saving efforts, but she was pronounced dead. Officials said the elevator fell from the home’s second floor, but they gave no indication of the cause of the incident.
