Wurtec’s Steve Wurth Among EY US Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Finalists

Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) announced the finalists for the Entrepreneur of the Year® 2024 Michigan and Northwest Ohio Award on May 1, and Steve Wurth, founder/CEO of Toledo,Ohio-based Wurtec, is among them. Now in its 38th year, the award is the “preeminent competitive business award for audacious leaders who disrupt markets, revolutionize industries and have a transformational impact on lives,” EY US stated. An independent panel of judges selected 34 finalists from 30 companies, and winners will be announced during a celebration on June 20. Founded in 1985, Wurtec sells elevator tools and has grown into a provider of complete elevator packages with multiple locations across North America and beyond. Rob Wurth, CEO and founder of Lift AI, described his father as “one of the best entrepreneurs I know,” continuing, “He’s been building for over 39 years at Wurtec and he’s not even close to done yet!”
