Developer Strada has filed a request with City of San Francisco to review its proposed 36-story, 524-unit residential tower at 395 3rd Street in the SoMa area of San Francisco, SF YIMBY reports. Working with San Francisco-based Gould Evans, Denmark-based Henning Larsen designed a 365-ft-tall structure that draws inspiration from California’s famous redwood trees and the city’s built environment. Brass-toned windows and balconies accent a façade of light-colored, scalloped glass fiber reinforced concrete panels. In addition to residences, 4,460 ft2 of ground-level retail is planned, as well as a 125-vehicle parking garage on four basement levels. If the approximately US$250-million plan is approved, groundbreaking could occur in 2023, with anticipated completion in 2026.
