The Lift Engineering Society of Australia (LESA) named the society’s 2023-2024 Executive Committee members during its recent annual general meeting. Many of the previous executives remain in place, but there are several new faces. As a result of the treasurer and membership committees becoming separate, Jessica Wehbe of Steel Renew is the new membership committee chair. George Kavallaris, who is on sabbatical, remains treasurer. Also new are Sidney Bastos of The Lift Consultancy, marketing; Scott Hampson of ARUP Consulting, education and training; and Tony Berry of The Lift Consultancy, general member. Remaining in place are Executive Committee Chairman John Tibbets, Secretary Pam Strykowski, Newsletter Editor Graeme McRae, Catering Chair Kate Hibner of WSP Consulting, Codes Chair Noel Smith of Pitfield & Associates Pvt. Ltd. and Historian John Inglis. The society also reports it plans to have new Facebook and LinkedIn pages, as well as a new website, in early 2024. — reported by EW Correspondent Sidney Bastos
