The U.K.’s SIMS4Lifts has unveiled plans to adopt emerging QR and eSim technology. Established by experienced telecom experts Chaim Grunfeld and Chaim Berkowicz to help lift operators make the all-important switch from outdated communication systems to a global system for mobile communication [GSM], SIMS4Lifts is dedicated to leveraging the power of technology to improve the lift operator experience. In this latest move, the provider is proactively researching and developing technologies that will enable QR sims and eSims to be delivered digitally. This will eliminate the need for physical sim cards in lift infrastructure where compatible and will position the company at the forefront of connectivity and advancements in lift communications. “Essentially, the introduction of QR and eSims would integrate seamlessly with the company’s unique sim management platform, which allows engineers to remotely manage, monitor and activate sims across multiple GSMs. This single interface innovation means sims are only activated when needed, improving cost effectiveness whilst also minimizing time spent on site by engineers,” Grunfeld said.
