In addition to skyscrapers in Canada, including the Best Tall Building worldwide — Vancouver House — the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) honored tall buildings, urban developments and innovations around the world during the virtual 18th Annual CTBUH Awards Program in May.
Winners included four from Australia, three each from China and the Middle East, two from Europe and one each in Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the U.K.
Australia winners were:
- 25 King, Brisbane, Best Tall Building Below 100 m
- ARC by Crown Group, Sydney, Best Tall Building — Australia
- UTS Central, Sydney, Interior Design
- 1 Bligh Street, Sydney, 10-Year Award (2011 Completions)
China winners were:
- Raffles City Chongqing (ELEVATOR WORLD, August 2020), Chongqing, Best Tall Building, 300-399 m
- Asia Financial Center & AIIB Headquarters, Beijing, Best Tall Building — Asia
- CITIC Tower, Beijing, Fire & Risk Engineering
Middle East winners were:
- ToHA Tower 1, Tel Aviv, Best Tall Building — Middle East and Africa and Best Tall Office Building overall
- Burj Khalifa, Dubai, 10-Year Award (2010 Completions)
Europe winners were:
- White Tree, Montpellier, France, Best Tall Building —Europe
- Lakhta Center, St. Petersburg, Russia, Façade Engineering
Other winners included DUO Tower in Singapore, Urban Habitat: Single-Site Scale; Claridge’s Hotel, London, Geotechnical Engineering; Museum Tower Kyobashi, Tokyo, MEP Engineering; and Hanwha Headquarters, Seoul, Renovation Award.
