Lerch Bates Announces New Roles for Schultz, McGrath

Lerch Bates Inc. announced Jeff Schultz, previously executive vice president (EVP) of Strategic Accounts, is now EVP of Corporate Development, focusing on acquisitions. Alyssa McGrath, previously based at Lerch Bates’ Global Support Center in Denver, will transition to Strategic Accounts director. Schultz has been with Lerch Bates since 2006, holding numerous leadership roles in both the U.S. and abroad in marketing, acquisitions and financial affairs. McGrath joined the company in 2010 with 14 years’ experience at Otis, where she held sales and management positions. Lerch Bates stated it is “excited to continue to grow and explore new markets and services.”

Alps Wire Rope Welcomes Three New Team Members

Alps Wire Rope Corp., headquartered in St. Charles, Illinois, welcomed three new team members: Purchasing Manager Jamey Champer; Midwest Region Sales Manager Jason Amos; and Product Manager, Elevator and SS Marine, Kim Riscossa. Champer comes to the company with a strong background in various phases of materials management. Alps Marketing Coordinator Adam Benner said Champer’s international purchasing and inventory-management experience will bring “a great deal of depth to our materials- management department.” Amos has more than 20 years’ of industry experience and an “excellent understanding of our broad customer base,” Benner said. Riscossa returns to Alps with 10 years of previous experience as purchasing, customer-service and marketing manager, as well as assistant to the president.

Mitsubishi Electric Names Caughey to Lead Boston Office

Cypress, California-based Mitsubishi Electric Elevators and Escalators has named Sarah Caughey branch manager of its newly opened Boston office, the company announced in June. Caughey started with Mitsubishi Electric in March. She oversees sales and operations at the office, which provides new sales and maintenance services in Boston and the surrounding area.
She has more than seven years’ experience in the vertical-transportation industry, having held multiple positions at Otis. Her previous industry roles include branch sales manager, senior new equipment sales executive and various account management roles, positions that gave her experience in both sales and project management. Her tenure at Otis was marked by consistent promotions with increasing responsibilities. She holds an undergraduate degree from Simmons College in Boston and a Master’s in Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
