Developer Oliver Tyrone Pulver envisions a 38-story office tower designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) on what is now a parking lot a stone’s throw away from City Hall, SkyRise Cities reported. If all goes as planned, the 840,000-sq.-ft. glassy structure will be delivered in 2020. At the corner of 13th and Market streets at 1301 Market Street, the site is surrounded by Marriott hotels on three sides and is a rare prime downtown location. In late 2016, the developer was trying to close on the property, and the permitting process could take at least a year.
