A young boy from B.C., Canada, is channeling his passion for elevators into a YouTube channel with more than 1,000 videos. Ten-year-old Johnnie Burk became fascinated with all things elevators about three years ago, according to his dad, Kory. The two began going on adventures to visit elevators around town.

Johnnie, who's on the autism spectrum, began researching and memorizing details like capacity and model number for each lift he would see. Using his dad's phone, Johnnie films each ride and posts the videos on his YouTube page, Johnnie Elevators. He documents his experiences in detail, ranging from the speed of the lift to its smell.

Recently, Johnnie and his family were surprised with an assortment of elevator parts from the owners of a couple of local elevator companies who had seen his videos. "He was blown away," Kory said. "Nothing else mattered." Johnnie's elevator-themed bedroom is filled with souvenirs from elevator companies, elevator signs, elevator manuals and a trio of elevator panels complete with buttons and keys. "When you find your passion, you find fulfillment," Kory said. "And when you find fulfillment, each day is magical."
