A 41-story tower designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill containing office space, hotel rooms and a replacement for San Francisco’s Fire Station No. 13 has been approved by the city’s Board of Supervisors at 530 Sansome Street in the Financial District, SF YIMBY reports, citing the San Francisco Examiner. The project is a public-private partnership between the city and Related California. On the drawing board are a 200-room hotel on floors four-15, offices on floors 16-41, employee amenities on the 16th and 17th floors and a 4,000-ft2 restaurant on the second floor overlooking Washington Street. A project rendering shows the 564-ft-tall, 649,500-ft2 tower rising between the Transamerica Pyramid and Embarcadero Center. Related could start construction as early as 2026.
