A 417-m-long skywalk with moving walks, escalators and lifts is planned for the Anand Vihar neighborhood in India’s Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) to connect a railway station and Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), The Times of India reports. National Capital Region Transport Corp. (NCRTC) has issued a tender for construction of the skywalk, which is expected to be complete approximately 15 months after the contract is awarded. Anand Vihar has two ISBTs, two Delhi Metro corridors, a railway station and a Namo Bharat transit station. "Passenger volumes across metro, railway, bus and Namo Bharat services have grown over the years, increasing pressure on existing pedestrian links, particularly during peak hours," an NCRTC official said. "The skywalk is planned as an additional corridor to support rising demand and improve circulation across the area."
