Trollybus Urban Development Inc. is the latest developer to propose a residential tower near the new Mount Dennis Station, part of the Crosstown Line 5 light rail line at 9 Oxford Drive in Toronto, UrbanToronto reports. The station is expected to be operational by this time next year, and other 36- and 34-story developments have been proposed on neighboring streets. Designed by SvN Architects and Planners, Trollybus’ plan is for a 26-story tower with 278 residential units and a three-level, underground parking garage. The structure is characterized by wraparound balconies behind a gridded, white frame. The developer is seeking zoning and planning amendments from the city to move forward with the project, which would rise on an assemblage of five lots that are currently home to several low-rise residences.
