Organizers of Chicago Build 2026, the Midwest’s largest construction and design tradeshow, say the event will return to McCormick Place, just south of downtown Chicago on the lakefront, on October 28-29. Tens of thousands of architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) professionals are expected to attend. “Expect a busy show floor filled with innovations and industry knowledge,” organizers said. The exhibitor list is still growing, with CEDES, offering advanced sensor technologies and more for the vertical-transportation (VT) industry, and Nouveau Elevator of Illinois, offering VT maintenance, modernization, engineering and design, already slated to host stands. With a larger hall, this year’s Chicago Build will feature three new zones: AI & Digital Construction, Fire Safety & Security and HVACR; a start-up zone that’s doubled in size; and more than 450 AEC industry leaders leading panel discussions across 13 different tracks.
