CVU Announces 2026 China Award of Excellence Winners

The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) recently announced Award of Excellence winners in the inaugural 2026 China Awards Program, an extension of its global Awards Program that has recognized excellence in tall buildings and urban innovation for decades. The Awards of Excellence recognize the highest-performing entries in 12 categories including office, residential, engineering innovation and sustainability. Overall category winners, along with one Best Building winner, will be announced at the CVU 2026 China Conference on June 25-25 in Guangzhou. This year’s China Award of Excellence winners include The Axiom in Shanghai, an office building that features a distinctive offset elevator core, placing service elevators outside the main façade; Tianjin World Financial Center in Tianjin featuring advanced double-deck elevators; and KONE UltraRope®, the a revolutionary carbon-fiber elevator hoisting technology enabling travel heights up to 1,000 m.
